Frequently Asked Questions

How can I translate the Operator Client into my native language?

Answer:

Both LiveZilla Desktop Applications (Client and Admin) can be translated into any language. Furthermore, you can share your translation with others.

To translate the client please follow these instructions:

  1. Enable the translation mode first (LiveZilla Client -> Extras -> Translation Mode). You will note that the minimize/maximize buttons (upper right corner) of each form have been replaced by a question mark (which indicates that the translation mode is active).

  2. Click the question mark and the translation form will open. You can now translate all texts of the regarding windows form.

  3. Click save and restart the Application to test your translation. Please close ALL instances (client and admin) of LiveZilla before restarting the client or admin application. If your receive an error message like Access denied to path '.\xx\xxx.dll' please try to run Livezilla as administrator.

  4. If you made a translation into your native language you may share it with the community by pressing the upload button. As soon as a user translation is finished, we will add it to our release.

  5. Continue to the next form and act accordingly.

Further notes:

  • Please do NOT translate proper nouns like "LiveZilla","Server Admin","Operator Client","CoBrowse","Premium Options","GeoTracking","Web Client" or "1-Click-Login" and so on.

  • Please don't forget punctuation marks in your translation. Especially the colon is important. If a string ends with a colon the translation must end with a colon, too. Elsewise the whole string might be dismissed.

  • Please don't upload inaccurate strings / spam / crap, each value is checked manually by our team before it's added it to the project. Don't waste your time and ours. Thanks.

  • Please do not translate placeholders like <!--xxx-->. Example:

Original: <!--username--> has entered the chat
Wrong: <! - Nombre de usuario -> ha entrado en el chat
Correct: <!--username--> ha entrado en el chat

  • If you need to step back to the default translation please change the application language in LiveZilla Client -> Options -> Application Language

  • As soon as more than 70% of a translation is done you will find a topic for the regarding language here.

  • If you encounter errors telling you that the application configuration is missing/invalid, please install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package.
